Why organisations ask for this work
These are the situations that lead to this conversation. If more than one is familiar, there is usually a case worth examining before anything is bought.
Renewals arrive without warning
Term dates sit in a supplier's system rather than yours, so decisions get made under time pressure.
Nobody can explain the bill
Seats stay assigned to people who left, and duplicate entitlements arrive through more than one plan.
Support routes lead offshore
When something breaks, the only path to help is a portal in a different time zone.
What this service covers
Most organisations do not have a licensing problem — they have an ownership problem. Subscriptions get bought in a hurry, renewals arrive without warning, nobody is certain which users need which plan, and when something breaks the only route to help is a support portal in a different time zone. The technology works; the commercial and operational wrapper around it does not.
As a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider, AAG Cloud Connect takes ownership of that wrapper. We provision your tenants, manage seat counts as your organisation changes, hold the commercial relationship on your behalf, and act as the first line of technical escalation into Microsoft. You get one contact who understands both your invoice and your infrastructure.
That combination matters more than it sounds. A partner who only resells licences cannot tell you whether Business Premium is genuinely sufficient for your risk profile, or whether you are paying for Entra ID P2 features nobody has switched on. A partner who only does technical work cannot fix a renewal that has been mispriced for two years. We do both, which means the advice we give has to survive contact with your actual bill.

Licence design and right-sizing
We map your users into role groups — frontline, knowledge worker, executive, contractor — and match each to the least expensive plan that genuinely covers their needs, then document why.
Tenant provisioning and hygiene
New tenants configured to Microsoft's recommended baselines, or an audit and remediation plan for the tenant you already have.
Renewal and seat lifecycle
Adds, removals, upgrades, and renewal calendars managed proactively so term dates never arrive as a surprise.
Azure subscription governance
Subscription structure, management groups, tagging, and budget alerts set up before consumption becomes unpredictable.
Security baseline enablement
Multi-factor authentication, Conditional Access, and identity hygiene switched on and tuned — not left as an unopened feature you already paid for.
Partner-led escalation
When an issue needs Microsoft, we raise and manage the case, translate the response, and stay on it until the environment is stable.
What you receive, and what changes
Every engagement produces written artefacts. They are listed here so the scope is agreed before work starts rather than interpreted afterwards.
Artefacts you receive
- Licence position statement covering every active subscription and seat
- Recommended plan mapping with cost comparison against your current spend
- Tenant configuration baseline document
- Renewal calendar with owner and decision dates
- Named CSP contact with agreed response expectations
Outcomes to expect
- Fewer unused and duplicated licences
- Predictable monthly cost with a clear line of sight to renewals
- Security features you already own actually switched on
- One local contact accountable for both commercials and technical escalation

The technology this service touches
Platform choice follows the workload. These are the products most often involved in this practice area, and the vendor relationships behind them.
- Microsoft 365
- Azure
- Dynamics 365
- Entra ID
Accredited means AAG Cloud Connect holds that vendor’s partner mark. Capability means we design, deliver, and support the platform without holding a formal partner designation for it. Both are stated plainly so nothing is implied by a logo.

Who this service is for
Work of this kind is normally sponsored by one of a small number of roles, each of whom is measured on something different.
- CFOs and finance leaders
- IT managers
- Procurement
CIOs and IT managers
You need architecture that your team can actually run, vendors consolidated, and a partner who escalates instead of deflecting.
CFOs and finance leaders
You need licence spend that reconciles, renewals without surprises, and a cost model you can defend in a budget review.
Role-based
licence mapping
What a licence review typically surfaces
Mapping users into role groups — frontline, knowledge worker, executive, contractor, service account — routinely finds assigned-but-inactive seats, duplicate entitlements arriving through two plans, and premium features that were bought and never enabled. The written output is a plan mapping, a cost comparison, and a renewal calendar with named owners.
This describes an engagement pattern typical of this service. It is not an account of a named client, and no figures here are drawn from a specific organisation.
Frequently asked
The questions organisations genuinely ask before committing budget to this work.
Microsoft delivers the cloud service either way. With a CSP, a partner holds the commercial relationship — provisioning, billing, licence advice, and first-line support — while you keep full ownership and administrative control of your tenant and data.
Yes. Transferring the CSP relationship for an existing tenant is routine and does not require rebuilding your environment or migrating data. Timing depends on your current agreement's term and Microsoft's transfer rules, which we check before recommending a date.
No. You remain the owner of the tenant and its data. Delegated administration lets us support you, it is scoped and visible to you, and it can be revoked at any time.
We invoice in an agreed currency on an agreed cycle, with a per-subscription breakdown so finance can reconcile against actual seats. We will confirm available currency and payment terms during onboarding.
Commercial support, licence guidance, and partner-led escalation to Microsoft are part of the CSP relationship. Hands-on administration, monitoring, and incident response are delivered under a separate managed services agreement so you only pay for the level of operational cover you need.
We contact you ahead of the term date with current usage, recommended changes, and pricing. Nothing renews silently at a plan level you have not reviewed.
